Live where horizons are wider
Oyster Harbour’s location means there’s so much to appreciate – right on your doorstep. Think of breathtaking scenery, history and outdoor, leisure and nature attractions.
The region is framed in the north by the Stirling Ranges. Deep blue waters of the Southern Ocean and stunning white sandy beaches form a dramatic coastline, and are annual nursery grounds for pods of whales.
In Late Autumn and Spring, wildflowers bloom, throwing out a riot of colour. There are vineyards of the Mt Barker wine producing area here, with premium wineries such as Goundrey Estate. The region is also home to many artists and craftspeople.
Dubbed the ‘Heart of the Great Southern’, the City of Albany is only 15 minutes from Oyster Harbour. It’s an important business centre and port for the south west of Western Australia.
The main street is lined with an eclectic mix of specialty stores, cafes and restaurants. Elegant dining showcases the region’s best fresh produce, and history comes alive in the Whaling Museum.
Albany is a pleasant 409 km drive from Perth.
